Community Involvement

organizations

We are a drop off location helping to gather much needed items to benefit both of these wonderful organizations. Together, we can help improve the lives of kids and families in our community!

The Family Place is all about building stronger families in Cache and Rich Counties. Working with both parents and children, we are here to support good relationships and help develop new approaches to family life. We strive to build stronger families by hosting fun, family-focused events in the community as well as offer a variety of programs such as workshops, counseling, and our Kid’s Place. The Family Place will always be known as a place for families of all kinds. We welcome anyone who wishes to grow closer to his or her family and learn with us!

The Family Place was established in 1982 as a small facility in Logan known as The Child & Family Support Center. The Center started with goal of providing a safe shelter for children involved in crisis situations, and has since expanded to meet the needs of all families. We continue to grow to meet the needs of the community. We now have three locations in Logan, Hyrum, and limited programing available in Smithfield.

The Family Place is a private 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable organization governed by a board of directors consisting of local citizens. The organization receives funding primarily through community grants and private donors. In addition to financial funding, The Family Place receives supply donations from various businesses and community members. Many volunteer hours are also given to aid in the progression of The Family Place.

Little Lambs Foundation for Kids is a non profit 501(c) 3 Organization who provides comfort kits to children ages newborn to 17 years old who are transitioning into foster care, emergency shelter or who have been hospitalized, by providing them with a little comfort in a bag.

Just in Northern Utah alone there is an average of 700 children who are in the foster care system. There is also on average 80 children that are in the in-home program through the Department of Child and Family Services just in Cache Valley alone. Throughout Utah over 2700 children are in foster care because of abuse or neglect.

Most children are removed from their home with nothing but the clothes on their backs & if they are able to take anything with them, they carry their precious belongings in a black trash bag.

Can you even imagine?

We are excited to be able to provide a backpack full of much needed hygiene and comfort items that can provide these precious children with something they can call their own, give them dignity and show them their community loves them.
